| | | Imagine uses arts, culture and heritage as starting points for creative exploration of people’s ability to express themselves, to communicate their ideas and to contribute to their sense of achievement, whilst at the same time encouraging and stimulating an awareness of the individual as an important and potent force for shaping their present and future whilst learning from the past.
Part of ‘Curiosity and Imagination’ the national network dedicated to inspiring children’s exploration of the world around them through hands on activities (www.curiosityandimagination.org.uk)
The Imagine Project started life making the ‘designated’ collections of Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service accessible to eight year olds and younger. By using art, drama, music and ensuring high levels of participation Imagine built a respected reputation becoming a case study for the Dept. Culture Media & Sport in ‘Count Me In - The Dimensions of Social Inclusion through Culture & Sport.’ The Heritage Lottery Fund uses Imagine as a model of good practice and featured it prominently in their annual report 01/02 under education and access.
The Office of Standards in Education (OFSTED) have praised Imagine saying, ‘‘thought has been given to providing links between subjects to give pupils a greater breadth of understanding….the study of the Grate Fire of London was enhanced through art activities….pupils attitudes were good because the teaching inspired them…..extending their thinking through challenging questions….the use of drama, challenging questions and imaginative tasks promoted pupils interest well and enabled pupils to achieve well and make rapid progress in their knowledge, understanding and skills….they respond with interest and enthusiasm, which lifts their level of learning’ OFSTED April 2003
Imagine is a responsive, creative organisation willing and able to respond to your needs, just let us know the theme and the age ranges of the people how much you want to spend and leave the rest to us!
