|  |   | Some people may know Thetford better as ‘Walmington-on-Sea’ from the popular TV series ‘Dad’s Army’. Many of the buildings in the town and surrounding villages were used for filming. The Thetford area has also been used for other popular films and shows. For example, ‘Allo Allo’ was filmed at Lynford and Hollywood blockbusters such as ‘Eyes Wide Shut’and ‘Lara Croft’ were shot at Elveden Hall.
